Dr. Persky was privileged to attend and participate in the recent Vegas Cosmetic Surgery–2011 multi-speciality meeting. The banner above the entrance to the main lecture ballroom read “The Finest Collection of Specialists Ever Assembled for One Aesthetic Surgery Meeting”. The course directors, Randall Waldman, MD, FACS, Ed Cortez, MD, FACS, and Renato Saltz, MD, FACS deserve congratulations on not only achieving the bold statement on the banner, but kudos for far exceeding it. The meeting brought together national and international experts and thought leaders in the core aesthetic specialities of Plastic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery, Cosmetic Dermatology, and Oculo-Plastic Surgery. The 50 hours of courses and presentations over 5 days at the Bellagio were most educational. In the near future, I will summarize what’s new in cosmetic surgery, breaking the popular adage, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” What we shared and learned from each other won’t stay in Vegas!
