How Does EZ Gel™ Work?

What Does EZ Gel Filler™ Treat?

What Is EZ Gel™ Plasma Filler Treatment?
EZ Gel™ is ideal for patients looking for a natural injection that is not a “fake” filler. The treatment is performed in our office with a local anesthesia nerve block and topical anesthetic cream. It is a safe, clinically proven effective, and a long-lasting 100% natural treatment. The entire treatment takes less than an hour, and most of the time is in processing your blood into EZ Gel™. As an expert experienced injector, Dr. Persky is able to complete the injection process in less than 20 to 30 minutes.
Pre-Treatment
Patients are asked to come to the office well hydrated and to avoid caffeine consumption the day of the treatment to help with the drawing of their blood. As with any injection, it is best to stop any blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, etc. for one week prior to treatment. Topical anesthesia cream may be applied for 30 minutes prior to the treatment.
Treatment
EZ Gel™ treatment begins by drawing two tubes of blood. The tubes are then centrifuged differently: one tube is rich in albumin, the other is rich in fibrin. The albumin rich tube is gently heated for about 10 minutes, creating a plasma gel. Depending on the patient’s needs, the two tubes are combined to create a thicker “gel” that is used to inject natural volume back into the needed areas, or the thinner liquid like plasma rich fibrin is injected to treat superficial lines.
Both replacement of facial volume loss and fine wrinkle treatment can be done simultaneously.
Post-Treatment
After the treatment, patients are massaged to ensure that the gel is uniformly distributed. Patients may use cold compresses for the first 48 hours for comfort and to decrease swelling. 48 hours after the injections, warm compresses may be used to reduce any bruising. Our patients are also sent home with Ocumed™ topical arnica gel patches to be used as needed. Strenuous exercise, hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms should be avoided for 24 to 48 hours after EZ Gel™.
There is minimal swelling, redness, tenderness, and bruising for a few days (3 to 7 days), depending on the individual. One week after the treatment, there is noticeable improvement of the face.
Results continue to improve over 6 to 8 weeks as your own stem cells and growth factors influence the skin and soft tissue positively.
We recommend that patients return for their second EZ Gel™ treatment 6 to 8 weeks after the first treatment. It is recommended that patients have once a year maintenance EZ Gel™ treatment. Our patients have been very pleased with their natural long-lasting results with EZ Gel™.
What Are the Risks of EZ Gel™
There have not been any reports of granulomas or nodules. EZ Gel™ does not migrate as is the case for fillers. There have not been any reports of vascular occlusion with EZ Gel™. Warm compresses and Hylenex can be used in the event of occlusion.
