I don’t want to look done…Sandy.
Sandy that’s a great question. One of the reasons why many patients don’t come to a plastic surgeon is because they’re afraid they are going to look unnatural they don’t want to look like the cat woman. Particularly in the face of the recent Academy Awards where people looked, some looked very good, Charlize Theron looked beautiful, Penelope Cruz looked wonderful, but there were a couple of people that looked particularly plastic and done. We’ve heard a lot of comments about Kim Novak and Goldie Hawn in days after the Academy Awards.
So people don’t want to look like they’ve had something done. Whenever, if we treat a patient and others can tell that something has been done, then we’ve failed our patient. So there’s a natural beauty and a way of refining the looks of patients that we concentrate on and that has to do with appreciating natural contours of the face, the natural curves of the face, something called the Ogee Curve which’s become very popular now with these Voluma.
Fortunately, we have a lot of non-surgical fillers and procedures that allow patients to look very natural without the stigma of having had plastic surgery done. So the other thing is everybody is different so what we love to do is have patients come in and sit down and tell us what bothers them. Then we analyze their face and then go ahead with a plan to help them achieve natural results. And we look to not only help them reach their goals but also we want to help them maintain their goals for many years to come.
