At the Otoplasty consultation it’s important for the patient to know what is bothering them about their ears and what they would be pleased with as a result from their Otoplasty. It’s important for the patient to convey that to their physician and it’s important for the physician, the surgeon to be on the same wavelength as the patient.
For the most part with Otoplasty, unlike Rhinoplasty where there can be many different outcomes and changes, with Otoplasty, it is usually just repositioning the ear back to a normal position and a good Otoplastic surgeon will know the natural angles and positions of the ear and want to strive during the surgery to achieve that natural appearing ear.
