botox-face2In a press release last week, Allergan, the manufacturer of the neuromodulator Botox announced, “Allergan, Inc., (NYSE: AGN) today announced approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allergan-logoto market BOTOX® Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA), for an additional indication to temporarily treat moderate to severe lateral canthal lines, commonly known as “crow’s feet” lines. BOTOX® Cosmetic is the first and only product of its kind approved for this indication.” We have been botox-injection-thailandusing Botox, as well as the other available neuromodulators Dysport and Xeomin, for the treatment of crow’s feet for many years “off label”. A study performed by researchers including Corey Maas, MD actually concluded that when Dysport was used on one side and Botox on the other side, people thought that the Dysport side looked better over time.
