00.01 – What is Ultheria
00.33 – A tale of Ultheria effect
01.08 – Ideal age for Ultherapy
Ultheria is a exciting new lifting tightening procedure of the face, neck and eye brows. There are some patients whom I think if they start their Ultherapy early enough may not need a facelift ever in their lives just by keeping the skin of the face, neck and brows lifted.
It’s funny. I had a friend of my wife’s come over. My wife and her friend had had an Ultheria about 2 years ago and the friend works in a commodity firm and one of her ex-colleagues saw a picture of my wife and her at a recent birthday party and called the friend and said, “Andrea, you haven’t said you’d been having Michael do some work, Dr. Persky do some work to you. You guys look like you’ve had facelifts”. And she said, “No no, we haven’t had facelifts” and he said next time I see you I’m going to look for scars.
So I think in a young patient, women, men in their late thirties to fifty range, if they have Ultherapy and it is done properly, and it is done early enough, it gives just enough of an improvement that the people will notice that something that’s been done and perhaps think that you’ve had a facelift because the neck, angles of the jaw, volume in the face, brows all look so rejuvenated.
So I do think that in a properly selected patient at the right age range, Ultheria will be able to replace facelift. Really, it is for patients who aren’t quite ready for a facelift. If they have Ultheria, it looks like they’ve had one.
