RealSelf actual patient comment:

I’m not expecting results yet but three weeks post profound my face looked and felt firmer. Within the past five days my face started to noticeably sag. I’m a good healer and according to the dr only had mild laxity. At a month post , I look worse than before I went in. My regular dr confirmed this today when I went in to see about fillers. The dr who did the profound is well respected. Is this part of the healing process for some? It definitely caused my filler to metabolize faster.
A.Depending on what kind of filler and where your filler was placed, it is possible that the heat from your Profound RF treatment may have caused some loss of the filler volume which would lead to the effect that you are noticing. I do not believe that the skin “stretches” from the swelling.Over the next 6 to 9 months after Profound RFyour body should produce collagen, elastic, and natural hyaluronic acid adding volume to your face, especially to your cheeks. In the meantime your treating physician may use Voluma and/or Sculptra to strategically add volume until the effects of your treatment take hold. Good luck and be well.
