Actual RealSelf Patient Comment:  I am 26 years old and already suffering really bad sagging of the upper eyelid and creasing on the lower lid. I was planning on getting an upper lid blepharoplasty and endoscopic brow lift but I was wondering if there are any surgeries (not fillers) that could address my under eye area.

Dr. Persky’s Reply:  Minimal excess skin of the lower eyelid can be corrected with a “skin pinch” of the skin procedure. It is performed under local anesthesia in our office. It involves removing a small amount of skin just below the lower eye lashes. Otherwise an ablative laser treatment with fractionated CO2 laser would help, but I would not advise laser in a dark skinned patient. You are very young for blepharoplasty, I would recommend waiting 5 to 10 years and then re-evaluating your concerns. Choose your treating surgeon very carefully.
