Asymmetrical eyes. Can I do anything about it? (Photo)
Actual RealSelf Patient Comment:
Hello, I was wondering if anything could be done to achieve more balance and align my eyes, as they are quite asymmetrical. I understand that whilst some degree of asymmetry is normal, I would like to see if I could do anything about it. Thank you!
A: Hi Fabulous in Beverly Hills,
Yes there is something that you can do about it! The asymmetry of your eyes goes along with the asymmetry of the two sides of your face. You have a longer, narrower left side while your right side is fuller and rounder which gives the impression that the left side of your face is smaller, set back and higher. I would recommend non-surgical facial filler injections to restore your facial symmetry. I would likely begin with a treatment session of Sculptra which allows full facial correction. The treatment would initially be directed at adding a little structural volume to the left side of your face, bringing the two halves of your pretty face into balance. Once your facial asymmetry is corrected, it will likely be at least 4 to 5 years before you may need a minor maintenance treatment. This is an advanced treatment and you should make sure that you choose your treating physician most carefully based on their skill, knowledge, expertise, experience, and most importantly their natural artistic vision. Please feel free to contact our office to schedule a consultation at your convenience. I look forward to the privilege of helping you achieve and maintain your facial aesthetics for many years to come. Stay well.
