RealSelf Actual Patient Comment:

Usually, I never get complaints about my nose. However my close friend decided to gift me a rhinoplasty for my birthday. I know my tip goes down when I smile, my nostrils are big.. but it was never a major issue… Now I am having second thoughts What do you think? Is it worth it? I am also worried to touch the lower part of the nose as I saw some surgeries gone wrong

A: Though it is very nice that your friend has gifted you a rhinoplasty, it is up to you to decide whether to have it. Rhinoplasty is not like getting a new hair cut style, if you don’t like it, it won’t grow back in a few weeks. It is essential that you are sure that it is something that you wish to do. The most important aspect of rhinoplasty is choosing your rhinoplasty surgeon carefully based on their skill, training, experience, knowledge, and their natural artistic vision. I highly recommend Ari Hyman, MD as he is both an expert rhinoplasty surgeon as well as an artist. He is also an expert at revising previous rhinoplasties that have gone wrong, reconstructs tips, and your tip will be beautiful in his hands. You should schedule a consultation with Dr. Hyman at your convenience. Ultimately, your decision to undergo rhinoplasty should be based on how much your nose bothers you, and how much you desire to change it. Feel free to contact Dr. Hyman at the website below. Good luck and be well.
