Botox for masseter and temporalis muscle asymmetry?
Actual RealSelf Patient Comment: Hello! Im 19 years old and plan to get some procedures to fix my facial asymmetry. (one side is simply wider than the other). I already hat botox for masseter muscle on one side which was a great succes. (10 months ago and muscle is still way smaller than before) So i plan to get Botox into my masseter on one side to fix this. Its more in the posterior masseter muscle. Is this possible? Thanks!
Dr. Persky’s Reply: Yes, Botox is a great treatment for masseter muscle asymmetry as well as a great treatment for patients suffering from TMJ Syndrome pain. I love to use Sculptra injections to correct asymmetric faces as it is a very natural and long lasting treatment. Always choose your treating physician carefully. Be well.
