RealSelf actual patient comment:

No trauma to my nose, born with it. I justwant my nose straight, & a corrected septum so I can breathe better. Hoping insurance will cover most of it. I have yetto see any results I like. They all still look crooked to me. I’m convinced this is something that cannot be corrected & I don’t understand. Most before & afters are bumps/side profiles. I don’t want to pay out of pocket for a rhino that isn’t going to straighten my nose. Somebody please ease my mind before I cancel my consultation.
A. Septorhinoplasty will improve your nasal breathing as well as straighten your external nose. Correcting a crooked nose is one of the most difficult rhinoplasty indications to get “perfect”, but you should see marked improvement.

Best to consult with a few rhinoplasty experts and then choose your surgeon carefully when you are ready based on their skill, knowledge, experience. care, and most importantly their natural artistic vision. A few great rhinoplasty surgeons I would recommend are Dean Toriumi, MD (Chicago), Ari Hyman, MD (Los Angeles), and David Kim, MD (San Francisco). Good luck and be well.
