Daxxify Expert…What is the risk with Daxxify migrating? Can something be done to ensure that this is prevented?
Actual RealSelf Patient Comment: What is the risk of migration when using Daxxify and do I have any options to prevent this from happening? I understand that this product is not dissolvable and am curious about how this is prevented / handled.
Dr. Persky’s Answer: The risk of Daxxify migrating is no greater than the risk of any of the other neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau) migrating. The most important aspect of Daxxify treatment, like any other aesthetic treatment is making sure to choose your injecting physician very carefully. The usual precautions after any neuromodulator injection are the same for Dax. Don’t lay down for at least 3 hours, avoid massage of the area, avoid steam rooms, saunas, and jacuzzi for the first 48 hours. Good luck and be well.
