Does Emsculpt hurt?
RealSelf actual patient comment:
How much discomfort is there?
A.Emsculpt is an exception to the old adage, “No pain, no gain!” Emsculpt sessions should not ever be painful, they should be intense, not painful. The Emsculpt device allows the physician to control the power intensity of the treatment while the patient gives real time feedback. The power is gradually increased as the patient is able to tolerate the pulses. The goal is to get to supramaximal contractions of the large muscles which the patient can feel, and the physician can see. All of my patients have been able to reach 100% power shortly into their Emsculpt session. The other old adage that Emsculpt seems to be an exception to is, “If it sounds to good to be true….” Good luck and be well.
