RealSelf actual patient comment:

I am in my late 20s and I am interested in Sculpta. Does it treat nasolabial folds? Does the treatment hurt? Do I get a local anesthetic? Does sculptra come with lodocaine?

A.Sculptra is a biostimulating injectable filler that helps with the nasolabial folds (smile lines). The treatment involves multiple injections, but the discomfort can be minimized by having topical anesthetic ointment for 30 to 60 minutes before treatment. There is lidocaine local anesthesia in the Sculptra mix. In patients in their 20’s often times we prefer the use of a little Voluma to lift the nasolabial folds (nlfs form because of loss of volume in the cheek bones. By replacing that, the nlfs lift in a naturally beautiful way.)The most important aspect of your treatment is making sure that you choose the best physician injector based on their experience, knowledge, skill , and natural artistic vision.Good luck and be well.
