RealSelf actual patient comment:

I underwent a buccal fat removal months ago and I’m terribly frustrated about the result. I’m currently looking for ways to reverse the result as much as possible. I guess my main question is, is there any kind of filler / implant that can be placed in the buccal area (underneath muscles and soft tissues, where the buccal fat pad is supposed to be), and preferably can provide some kind of support for mid face? if anyone can offer me some insights or suggestions on this I’d really appreciate it!

A.We are not big fans of buccal fat removal. We use your own fat or fillers to correct the defect.

The most critical aspect of any aesthetic procedure is making sure that you choose your treating physician most carefully based on their skill, experience, knowledge, and natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.
