RealSelf actual patient comment:

I had Ultherapy a few years ago. It really did nothing. It was painful and expensive. If Ultherapy didnt work for me how can I expect Profound to be any different?
A. Sorry to hear about your poor experience with Ultherapy. The results of both Ultherapy and Profound RF are dependent upon appropriate patient selection (age, life style, sun damage, tobacco use, etc.),realistic physician and patient expectations, as well as the treating physician. These devices are not commodities, rather they are safe and effective non-surgical skin lifting and tightening tools that when used properly on carefully selected problems work well. Profound RF is a different technologyandworks at a different depth of skin than Ultherapy. As long as you are in good health with a normal healing response with collagen production then ProfoundRF (though also pricey) should help. I would advise consultation with a few experts in the field before committing your time, money, and “comfort or lack thereof” to any treatment. As with any facial aesthetic treatment it is essential to make sure that you choose your treating physician carefully based upon their skill, knowledge, results, experience, and most importantly their natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well!!!
