RealSelf actual patient comment:

I know the technically “correct” answer is that it takes off X number of years and that we continue to age afterward, but is this actually true? For Ultherapy, I basically returned back to baseline after one year even though I did look quite a few years younger right afterward. I was wondering if the results from Profound last longer, and how often we should repeat the procedure? Thank you!
A.The best answer to “How long will the results for Profound RF treatment?” is the same answer that I give to patients who ask how long a facelift or Ulthera will last. Patients will look better for the rest of their lives compared to how they would have looked had they not had the procedure. (Joan Rivers once said that she wished that she had an identical twin so that she could see what she would have looked like without all of her plastic surgical treatments!!!) I believe that most experienced practitioners tell their patients that the treatment should last at least 5 years.

As with any aesthetic treatment choosing your treating physician is essential for excellent results. Choose your treating physician based on their judgement, skill, experience, knowledge, and most importantly their natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.
