How long to wait in between surgeries to be safe?
Actual RealSelf Patient Comment: Hi I am interested in doing a rhinoplasty procedure and a breast augmentation as well. I do not want these done by the same surgeon as I only want to find someone who focuses on solely rhinoplasties & then another dr who focuses on breasts. So in other words doing these the same time is not an option for me. How long should I wait in between the procedures to go under general anesthesia to be safe? I heard it is not healthy to do this back to back? Thank you so much for any feedback
A: If you have y our breasts operated on first, then you may have your nose done a week or two later. If you have your nose done first then you should wait 2-3 months before your breast surgery because anesthesiologists use masks on your nose. The most important aspect of either surgery is making sure that you choose your operating surgeons most carefully. I highly recommend consulting with Ari Hyman, MD (Encino, CA) for your nose. Michael Schwartz, MD in Westlake, CA for your breasts. Good luck and be well.
