RealSelf actual patient comment:

Every time I’ve done botox even injecting a minimum amount it seem to make it freeze and the eyebrows go down just a tiny bit. Is there a way to prevent this and keep some movement in the forehead but just less “Animated” the way the botox acts when it’s wearing of the last months???
A.Many of our patients share your concern. Patients wish to look fresh, rested, and natural without looking unnaturally frozen and plastic. The use of Botox is both an art and science. Getting your Botox is not a commodity, like going to the store and buying milk, not all Botox injectors are the same. Each patient must be evaluated and treatment is based on the size and strength of their facial muscles as well as the patient’s personal aesthetic goals. Each treatment in our office is customized, Botox treatments are not “cookie cutter” where every patients gets the same amount in the same areas. In your case you are likely a candidate for specialized “micro-dose” Botox treatment. The most important aspect of your Botox treatment is making sure that you choose your physicianinjector most carefully. Choose your physician based on their skill, experience, knowledge, care, and their natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.
