If Vitrase is injected directly under the eyelid, can it migrate around the orbital rim?
RealSelf actual patient comment:
I had some vitrase injected directly under my eyelid where I have had puffiness from the area being aggravated and over-filled. It dissolved the filler that led to the puffy look under my eye, but also left a significant indentation to the right of my outer eye. I realize this can be filled and corrected but I’m still distressed. If an aggressive dose of vitrase is placed under the eye, is it common for it to affect the entire orbital rim up to about 1/4 inch from the other eyelid?
A.Yes, it is probable that vitrase caused your indentation. If you wish correction, either return to your injecting physician or choose a new injecting physician carefully based on their expertise, experience, skill, knowledge, and natural artisitic vision. Good luck and be well.
