I’m 41 and have Ultherapy scheduled for my brow and lower face. Is this not a procedure for someone my age?
RealSelf actual patient comment:
I’m 41 and have Ultherapy scheduled for my brow and lower face. Im terrified as many reviews especially “younger” people say it melted all the day in their face and aged them. Is this not a procedure for someone my age? The woman who will perform the procedure said she would not go over my cheeks and would not use the deepest level on some or all of my face. Thoughts? I want the procedure to correct some droopiness in my brow and some mild sagging along my jaw.
A.I have used Ultherapy since it came to market on hundreds of patients. I personally perform all Ultherapy treatments on my patients and have not had any patients experience “melting their face” as some reviews online have stated. It is essential that your treatment is performed by an Ultherapy expert who is knowledgable and experienced in facial anatomy, able to read the liveultrasound, and treat at the proper level. I believe that poor results and complications with Ultherapy are user dependent, andfrom either poorly trained or unqualified technicians who have been delegated the treatment by their supervising physician. Unfortunately there are clinics using “Ultherapy” devices that are imitations from China, or are using transducers that have been “refurbished” at a greatly discounted cost that are not supported by the company. Ultherapy is the best truly non-invasive facial/neck lifting and tightening device without any downtime. As with any aesthetic procedure, it is essential to choose your treating physician carefully based on their skill, experience, knowledge, training, and natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.
