RealSelf actual patient comment:

I recently read about a new laser that is supposed to be “injectable” for tightening?? I think that it is called Profound? I think they have been using it on the face but going to be getting a new way to use it on the legs for loose skin? Has anyone heard of this and what kind of results it is having? I’m curious about it. I would love to have tighter skin on my legs.
A.Profound Lift is a micro-needling device with radiofrequency heating of the undersurface of the skin that is a safe and effective non-surgical facial and neck lifting and tightening treatment. It is not a laser. It is not an “injectable”, though the paired tiny needles apply the radiofrequency energy 1 to 2 mm beneath the skin surface (6 mm beneath when fat is being dissolved.) In my practice it is an excellent procedure for face and neck rejuvenation. There are some practices that promote the treatment of the entire body, usually under general anesthesia in an operating room that takes hours to complete. I have not seen any impressive photos of the treatment on body areas other than the face, though if you have the time, money, and patience, it should work to tighten any skin. In our practice we have found that Venus Freeze, a non-invasive topical radiofrequency application has been effective at helping the loose leg skin above the knees as well as helping with thighs.Good luck and be well.
