RealSelf actual patient comment:

I had Juvederm and Botox done a week ago, and love the results. My doctor suggested I have the Profound procedure in about a month. What will happen with the Botox and Juvederm? Will they be destroyed in the procedure?
A.Ideally patients should have any tightening, lifting treatment prior to having injectable facial fillers (other than Sculptra which is not affected by heat.) It depends on the area and depth of the Juvederm or other facial filler that you have had andhowlong ago it was injectedwhether Profound RF will affect it. We encourage our patients to have Botox treatment prior to their Profound RF treatment as studies with laser recovery have shown that the results are better when the treated area moves less (new collagen formation is facilitated.)Good luck and be well
