Is it safe to do Ultherapy if I have a family history of melanoma?
Actual RealSelf Patient Comment: Is it safe to do ultherapy or LED red light therapy or even a chemical peel to my face if i have a history of a primary member who died of melanoma ? would the heat or the burn of any of these treatments lead to melanoma ?
Dr. Persky’s Reply: Ultherapy is a great lifting and tightening treatment. A family history of melanoma is not a contra-indication for ultherapy. Choose your treating physician carefully. Good luck and be well.
