RealSelf actual patient comment:

Someone told me to look for a doctor who will help me see what the result will look like by injecting saline into the areas where I’ll be getting fillers. Do you do this? Is it a good idea? I am looking to erase/ flatten out deep nasal labial folds and lines to bring out my youth. Soften a sharp jawline. And also looking to balance out symmetry. I want to make sure the doctor and I are on the same page before I get the real injectables. So I am looking for the best way to do that.
A.The most important aspect of any facial aesthetic treatment is making certain that you have chosen your physician most carefully based on their experience, skill, knowledge, and natural artistic vision. You may have a “preview” of what to expect with facial fillers by having normal saline solution injected. I am happy to do this for selected patients. At your consultation, before and after photos of patients with similar facialrejuvenation treatments are reviewed. Most patients at that time decide to go ahead with treatment, but if you still desire a saline preview, then that is performed. It sounds as if you are an excellent candidate for facial rejuvenation with volume replacement. Good luck and be well.
