Should I consider rhinoplasty to straighten my crooked nose and are there other options available?
RealSelf actual patient comment:
I am considering rhinoplasty to straighten my nose. I think it’d significantly improve my appearance. I tend to take photos from side angles out of self-consciousness. Does all rhinoplasty cost about the same, or could it cost less where the problem is relatively minor? How severe is my crookedness?
A. I hope that your family and you are well. Your nose can be straightened with rhinoplasty. The only alternative would be injection of filler to camouflage the crookedness. The cost of rhinoplasty varies depending on the surgeon and the amount of time necessary to perform the procedure in the operating room. There is a saying that “When getting sushi or facial plastic surgery it is best to not go for the cheapest cost.” You should base your decision on choosing your rhinoplasty surgeon on their skill, experience, knowledge, training, and natural artistic vision. I recommend Ari Hyman, MD, a very well trained rhinoplasty expert who is also an artist. Good luck and be well.
