Skin Tightening? Any doctors have experience with “Profound RF” treatment?

The Profound procedure looks very promising. Is any doctor doing it? What can one expect as far as down time? What is the typical pricing?
A.Profound RF is a safe and effective non-surgical device for lifting and tightening the skin of the face and neck. Our patient’s experience has been positive. The results do vary, but the overall patient satisfaction rate is very high (the “Worth It” rating here on RealSelf is 97%, and the one not worth it was based on a different technology.) The cost is dependent on the extent of the treatment. My philosophy is that if I am treating someone then they should get the absolute best treatment to maximize their chances for great results. I treat the entire face and neck (twice the surface area) and recommend the concurrent use of platelet rich plasma(prp) which stimulates growth factors and stem cells, facilitating healing and ultimate results. There is additional cost if the deeper subcutaneous micro-needles are used to melt fat. The downtime also varies depending on the aggressiveness of the treating physician, my feeling is that if you are having the treatment, you might as well get the most bang for your buck. Our patients are told to expect at least a 5 to 12 day downtime depending on their bruising. Many patients can use concealer or tinted sunblock (in men) and be presentable within 5 to 7 days.
