Smile lines: which filler do you recommend? If so, how many syringes do you estimate will be needed?
RealSelf actual patient comment:
I am 33 and have really become self conscious about my smile lines. Every day, it seems like they get deeper and more prominent in pictures and in person. I wanted to know what product is recommended. I’ve read Juvederm and Restylane could work how ever there are so many different types, I’m kind of overwhelmed. If all the product isn’t used, would I be able to put the rest in my lips or under eyes depending on the product? Thanks in advance!
A.I agree with Dr. Rifkin, you should be able to achieve your aesthetic goal using 1 to 1.5 syringe(s) of filler. When we teach other physicians how to inject facial fillers, we have unlimited amounts of filler supplied by the sponsoring companies. What is often said is that “It is easy to get a nice result with unlimited fillers (and funds), the skill comes when we are able to get an excellent result with only 1 or 2 syringes.”I wouldmost likelyuse Restylane Defyne most likely in your case, though every patient is unique and we determine what would be best after examining each patient in person. Make sure to choose your physician injector most carefully based on their skill, knowledge, experience, and most importantly their natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.
