Turning 34 and noticed a loss of volume in my face. What’s the best filler for under eye circles and sagging face?
RealSelf actual patient comment:
I had restylane just a month ago , didn’t think it helpedunder my eye area, my eyes still look very tired. What’s the best filler for under the eye? Or was one syringe not enough? I was recommended to instead I get my cheeks bone for a lift? Am I a candidate for surgery to correct under my eye area? Any suggestions please. I’m very unhappy. Thanks
A.Great question as many of our patients in their 30’s to 40’s share your concerns. From about age 25 on the face loses volume, mainly from facial bones and fat, that is what causes early facial sagging. The best treatment to reverse these early signs of aging in young patients is to restore the lost volume. The most important aspect of any aesthetic treatment is to make sure that you carefully choose your physician based on their skill, expertise, experience, knowledge, and natural artistic vision. If you were my patient I would use 1 to 1.5 cc of Voluma carefully placed on your cheek bones. When injected properly, Voluma corrects facial sagging, and without injecting directly in the under eye hollows and nasolabial folds (smile lines), Voluma improves the tired appearance of those areas as well. It may also improve the corners of your mouth, jawline, and jowls. Once the Voluma is in place, if needed, a small volume of Restylane can be used in the eye hollows. In some patients with volume loss around their mouth, RestylaneDefyne is used to restore their natural beauty in a healthy restful manner. Again, choose your injecting physician most carefully. Good luck and be well.
