RealSelf actual patient comment:

I’ve kinda always had these lines. They’re more like pockets of fat, I’m only 21 so hard to believe it’s pre mature aging. I do not smoke or drink but I smile/laugh a lot. I get my lips filled so I told my nurse and she told me it’s normal and I want to avoid filling the area so I don’t look like a blow fish. But they bother me bad. What are my options? As you can see they’re more obvious in certain lighting.
A.The lines that you are concerned about are due to the excessive amount of filler that someone has injected into your lips. The distortion of your lips and disproportion of the size of your upper to lower lip by your nurse injector is the cause for your concern. I would recommend laying off the lip injections for awhile and even having some of the excess dissolved. No one, let alone a 21 year old should have that much filler in their lips. Once again it comes down to making sure that you choose your injecting aesthetic physician carefully based on their skill, experience, knowledge, and most importantly, their NATURAL artistic vision. Good luck and be well.
