Actual RealSelf Patient Comment:
Hi – I have always really disliked my nose from a side angle and at the age of 30 I am finally in a position to fix it. Straight on it is fine albeit a little off centre. My issue is the size of my nostrils, they are long and thin and I have a deviated septum. I also don’t like how projected my nose is and feel that it is out of proportion with the rest of my comparatively small face and features. I was wondering if closed or open rhinoplasty would be best for me?

A: Great rhinoplasty can be performed either open or closed. In your case, due to your concerns about your nostrils, I would recommend an open rhinoplasty. More importantly is who you choose to have your rhinoplasty performed by. I highly recommend that you consult with Ari Hyman, MD who is a very talented expert rhinoplasty surgeon as well as an artist. Dr. Hyman is extremely well trained, experienced, skilled, knowledgeable. and possesses natural artistic vision. His incisions heal beautifully and his results are naturally beautiful.
