What procedures do I need for my face to be more like the second pic (smooth under eye and smile lines)? (Photo)
Actual RealSelf Patient Comment: I have these weird hollow under eye dark circles that make tear troughs very obvious even with makeup as you see and these weird smile lines which I don’t know how to get rid of giving me a mustache look. Would I need to use filler or a face lift? Please let me know. I hate how it looks and I just look scary in general

Dr. Persky’s Reply: You are young and beautiful, you definitely do not need a facelift! I would treat you with a foundational one time treatment with Sculptra and would use SkinVive to help your skin quality to glow.SkinVive is the first and only hyaluronice acid microdroplet injectable indicated to imporve skin smoothness of the cheeks. I have used it off label over the entire face with excellent results and very high patient satisfaction. SkinVive is not a filler, it is a skin booster, it hydrates the skin and gives the skin a lasting glow. SkinVive is injected with a tiny needle, just below the surface of the skin spaced between 0.5 to 1 cm apart in miniscule amounts. SkinVive is capable of attracting up to 1000 times its weight in water molecules, thus increasing hydration resulting in smooth glowing skin that lasts up to 6 months. SkinVive was approved for use in the US 9/2023, but was used in other countries for many years as Volite. It has a proven track record of safety, effectiveness, and very high patient and physician satisfaction. As we age, our skin loses hyaluronic acid and overall smoothness. SkinVive is a modified form of HA that facilitates the skin retention of its natural moisture, improving skin smoothness and fine lines. The treatment takes about 10 to 15 minutes, is approved for all skin types, and does not disrupt everyday activities. Some patients choose to have topical numbing cream applied to treated areas while others tolerate the injections without anything. It feels similar to Botox injections. Keep using your retinol and sunblock. As with any aesthetic procedure it is imperative to chose your treating injection physician carefully!
