Why does the collagen formation from Sculptra last less than collagen formation from lasers or subcision for acne scars?

Dr. Persky’s Reply: Sculptra is an excellent injectable collagen stimulating filling. I have used it since 2009 on hundreds of patients with excellent results. It is extremely safe and effective when used properly by skilled physicians. I am not aware of any studies or research that have proven that the collagen stimulated by Sculptra lasts any differently than that formed by lasers or subcision for acne. Good luck and be well.
