Why is asthma a contraindication to Emsculpt?
Actual RealSelf Patient Comment: I want to get emsculpt but every site I read asthma is a contraindication. I don’t understand why.
Dr. Persky’s Reply: Asthma is not a contraindication to have EMSCULPT treatments. A patient is ineligible for EMSCULPT treatment if the following conditions are present: cardiac pacemakers, implanted defibrillators. implanted neurostimulators, electronic implants, pulmonary insufficiency, metal implants, drug pumps, application in either the head or heart area, malignant tumor, injured or otherwise impaired muscles, fever, or pregnancy. It is also recommended that patients have a BMI lower than 35. Good luck and be well.
