RealSelf actual patient comment:

I recently had a lower body lift and fat graft to my buttocks and I love the result, however subtle. I think I have retained about 30% of the fat taken from outer/inner thighs. I do exercise regularly but I find it difficult to gain muscle, especially now at 52. Emsculpt for buttocks (and off label thighs?) is an appealing idea to build a bit more projection under the fat, I just don’t want to lose the fat that I have. Is this possible?
A.Emsculpt builds muscle in the buttock and may preserve fat when used with the proper settings on the device. Many patients wish to build their gluteal muscles, lifting their buttwhile preserving the fat volume of their glutes. If a patient wishes to both build gluteal muscle and reduce fat, then a different treatment protocol is used. Be sure to discuss this with your Emsculpt physician prior to your treatment. Good luck and be well.
