RealSelf actual patient comment:

I have a really round face with full cheeks. One side of my face has more volume then the other. I thought Botox in the jaw could slim down my face and correct the asymmetry, but my doctor said Botox would not work on me as the volume in my lower face is due to fat and not the jaw muscle. He said that I should get filler in the cheekbones to remove the focus and my lower face and also in the chin. I do not wish a fuller face. Filler in the cheekbones, would that not make my face look fuller?
A.Your face can be made to appear more symmetric and thinner if your fillers are placed properly by an expert injecting physician. As with any aesthetic treatment it is essential to choose your treating physician carefully based on their experience, skill, knowledge, care, and most importantly their natural artistic vision.Good luck and be well.
