Actual RealSelf Patient Comment: I had Juvederm (I can’t remember the exact one, whichever one that can last up to 2 years) almost 3 years ago in my tear troughs by a doctor that was very pushy saying I needed it bc I look very tired, when he was inserting the needle in my right eye, he was a little shaky and pushed it too hard and it jabbed harder than it should have and he swore it would go away but it’s been years and hasn’t. No matter wearing makeup or not it’s visible, is my only choice going to end up being surgery??

Dr. Persky’s Reply: First you must find an expert physician injector with experience. Next, hyaluronidase should be used conservatively to dissolve the filler. I do not believe that you will need surgery. Good luck and be well
