Would a Silhouette lift or Juvederm Voluma in the upper and mid cheeks be best?
RealSelf actual patient comment:
I’m looking for a natural looking lift for my sunken lower face.My jawline is not smooth and the orbital bones are showing. I just don’t want to look inflated but I want the lower jowls to be lifted. Would 1 syringe of Juvederm voluma for each cheek be enough to lift the minor sagging? I am considering a sillouet lift but i hear negative reviews….and I don’t want too many syringes of Juvederm. Recommendations?
A.You are not alone, one of the most common requests for facial rejuvenation is improvement of the jawline, jowls, and the area under the eyes. These are the most common early signs of facial aging and are related to volume loss. I would treat you with 2 syringes of Voluma and then wait, letting you live with your new rejuvenated naturallyvolumized face. After a few weeks, we would re-evaluate your face. At that time you may be fine or we may decide that more rejuvenation would benefit your very pretty face. Whether that would involve more hyaluronic acid filler, or Sculptra, or even Silhouette thread lifting would then be determined. There are excellent safe and effective non-invasive lifting and tightening devicesthat are great for your goals, including Profound Lift (micro-needles with radiofrequency heat energy) combined with PRP (platelet rich plasma), or if you do not have the 7 to 10 day “downtime” Ultherapy would be a good alternative choice.
The most important aspect of your treatment is making sure that you take the time to choose your treating physician most carefully based on their experience, skill, knowledge, and natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well!!!
