Ulthera has introduced a new software system that has added effectiveness and decreased patient discomfort. The new software system, Ulthera Amplify, has new treatment guidelines that adds 33% more energy to the treatment. In addition, recent studys have proven that by decreasing the baseline ultrasound energy of individual pulses (lines) patient comfort during the treatment is much improved without any diminution of clinical effect and results. It is thought increasing the number of “lines” of a standard treatment from 500-600 lines to now 800 lines will result in greater lifting and tightening of the face, neck, and eyebrows.
According to Ulthera,”Ultherapy Amplify is a treatment optimization and system software upgrade based upon feedback from top physicians such as yourself. The three key elements of this software upgrade include:
· Elevating patient comfort – A recently completed clinical trial has confirmed that clinical efficacy is not compromised by lowering energy settings by two levels, significantly improving patient comfort;
· Increasing efficiency – An intuitive new user interface allows clinicians to navigate through Ultherapy procedures in an optimal fashion;
· Improving treatment guidelines – By listening to experienced Ultherapy practitioners, we are suggesting procedure guidelines that include higher density treatments.
The new guidelines have increased the time of a full Ulthera treatment from one hour to one hour, twenty minutes. Due to the increased time and 33% additional lines used, the cost of the “800 Guideline” treatment is about $250 more that the old standard Ultherapy treatment.
