Patients often ask whether fat will come back in the areas where they have been liposucked.
And one of the things that we have to explain to patients is fat cells are rather unique in that even though removing a large number of them there is always some that remain. And fat cells are not able to increase in number per se but they increase in the individual size of each cell.
So we do recommend after liposuction that our patients maintain a good diet, exercise schedule and don’t go over the top eating too many pieces of cheese cake or pizza.
